I was born in Bogota, Colombia and immigrated to the United States when I was 11 years old. I lived in New York City for 7 years and have been residing in Lancaster County since 2010. The diverse experiences of living in these three distinct cities led me to pursue my Bachelor’s in Sociology, with a concentration in Criminology from Millersville University. Throughout my academic journey and beyond, my focus has been on assisting the vulnerable population of our community. I have volunteered and worked at organizations such as Church World Service, the YWCA, Water Street Missions and the PA Coalition on Crime and Delinquency. Over the course of 8 years, I have gained experience in supporting immigrants, survivors of domestic violence, individuals experiencing homelessness, and victims of crime. I am currently a Bilingual Criminal Justice Specialist for the Victims Compensation Assistance Program.
